Holy Trinity Church Parishioner Profile:
Alan & Christine Koelling Answering The Call: Communicating With Holy Trinity
Parishioners!
"Help Wanted". A simple phrase that calls us to duty
when we know we have the talents and abilities to
contribute. That's just what husband-and-wife
parishioners Alan and Christine Koelling did when
answering the call of Steve Karakas, Coordinator of
the Holy Trinity Communications Ministry, who
requested help getting out the word about goings-on at
Holy Trinity Church. Members of the Holy Trinity
Parish family since 2001, Alan and Christine were
looking for a way to contribute that would not be
hindered by having two small daughters: Alexandra (2
1/2 years old) and Elizabeth (10 months old). "We
wanted to be involved with the church despite our
young family and this is a great way to do it"
acknowledges Christine. Teaming with Alan to
interview parishioners and profile Catholic-business
owners that contribute their time and effort to the
parish, the couple is currently working with Steve to
provide literary pieces to the Holy Trinity website
that can be found at: www.h-t.org. Christine, who has
left the legal profession to become a stay-at-home
mother, and Alan, a Planning Analyst at Nike, have
both always enjoyed writing, so the Communications
Ministry opportunity seemed ideal for the couple. In
fact, Alan and Christine even worked together on a
community publication at the City of Lancaster,
California where they met and married before moving to
Oregon. Please look for Alan and Christine to get in
touch with you as they work within the Communications
Ministry to acquaint us all better with members of our
Holy Trinity Parish family who are "Making A
Difference in People's Lives". |
