Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 598 has a long history at Holy Trinity. Cub Scouts is an age appropriate program, for boys first grade through 5th grade. The purpose is to teach boys character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, service to others, prepare them for Boy Scouts, and more. It's "fun with a purpose".
Offering a Cub Scout program for boys here for over 26 years, you can be sure of many things; the annual wreath sale in front of the church in December, the Christmas tree recycle fundraiser, and Scout Sunday, where scouts attend the first 5:30 Mass in February to celebrate the anniversary of Scouting in America. There are many more examples of service such as the nation-wide "Scouting for Food" drive for the Oregon Food Bank the first Saturday in December, and "Goodwill Goodturn" where scouts collect reusable items for Goodwill Industries the first Saturday in March. The den and pack meetings that happen throughout the year teach a well rounded, fun program, preparing young boys to become responsible young men. They receive regular recognition and achieve a growing pride that is inherent in such program. The leaders are BSA trained parents, and provide this truly out of a love of what it gives their boys. If you would like more information or have a son that would like to join, call 503.439.1041. Also consider joining yourself, in a successful program with a group of parents like yourself, and become a leader. Leading by example for the benefit of your own son, is reward, two-fold!
