Faith Cafe Faith Cafe is a hot meal program started in Beaverton in Spring 2005 at The United Methodist Church. There are five Catholic parishes responsible to staff the meals, which will start with a single Sunday evening time and most will likely grow with the need. The Catholic parishes involved are St Juan Diego (very involved), St Pius X, St Cecilia, Holy Trinity ( all with numerous volunteers) and St John Fisher. A dozen Portland hot meal sites have been visited for organizing ideas and Oregon Food Bank and other food sources have been consulted to partially supply us. The site was chosen because of location, the welcome of the board of the Beaverton United Methodist Church, the appropriate kitchen facilities and the response of that neighborhood and the Beaverton City mayor and police.
