Merry Christmas from Fr. Dave!
I wish each of you all the joy of this great celebration. May it bring renewed peace to your families and renewed resolve to continue working towards building the Kingdom of God. Our efforts at kindness, patience, honesty, and generosity all make a difference!
This is my first Christmas here at Holy Trinity and it’s been fun entering into the practices and traditions this parish has in place. I’m grateful for the vitality and commitment of this community and find it daily a joy to be your pastor! I rely heavily on our excellent staff for so much of the ongoing life of the parish and want to thank each of them for their dedication and good spirit. We have a wonderful team here!
As we head towards 2008 I have every reason to be optimistic that we are in for a good year. I pray that each of you will find continued spiritual growth and inspiration from your participation in our parish. On behalf of our entire staff, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with unexpected blessings!
Our New Year’s Day mass will be on January 1st at 9:00am. This is a super way to dedicate the New Year to God and to ask for His blessing on you and your family. It is also a holy day in honor of Mary, the Mother of God.
And, remember our parish Epiphany Party is coming up Sunday, January 6 beginning right after the 11:15am mass. This is one of our very popular parish socials including guess what: food, entertainment, and good fellowship! Plan to come!
Thank you to all who helped with all the preparations for Christmas: our musicians, our Community Outreach crew, those who contributed to the Giving Tree, our church decorators, the Knights for their tree sales, and all who participated so fully in the season!
Well done!
This week funeral services were held for Michael Russel and for Taylor Thomasson. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
Caleb Tihpen, Alex Andal, Steven Culbertson, Lia Siemens, and Kelan Egusa were baptized. Congratulations! |
