Schedules
Mission: To provide excellent liturgies and training opportunities for all liturgical ministers.
The ministry trains and schedules the lay persons needed for the following liturgical ministries: lectors, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, ministers to the sick and the homebound, and greeters (ushers). Trainings are scheduled periodically throughout the year and volunteers are always welcome to join these ministries.
Lectors: These ministers proclaim the Sacred Scriptures at the masses and at other parish celebrations. Lectors must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church. Contact: Angie Sims NEW BIBLICAL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE NOW AVAILABLE. CLICK HERE.
Eucharistic Ministers: These ministers distribute the Holy Communion at Mass. Eucharistic ministers must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church. contact: Bruce Waldvogel
Altar Servers: These ministers assist the presider at the altar. Altar servers must be baptized and have received first Eucharistand fourth grade or older. Training sessions are held twice a year. contact: Donna Wills
Ministry to Homebound: These ministers take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound parishioners and to residents of a memory-care center. The ministers are also trained to celebrate Viaticum with the dying. These ministers must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church. contact: Lois Oswald
