Faith Formation Calendar 2012-2013

Pre-School
Open to children, three, four and five years old, (age as of September 1st of the current Faith Formation year), this program helps our youngest to become aware of the gifts God has given to them. They discover God and express their faith through activities, crafts, music, and games that are based on the Sunday readings. This program is held during the 9:30 a.m. Mass.

The Elementary Program
The Elementary Program welcomes children in kindergarten – fifth grade. Designed to deepen and expand the young person’s faith, the students grow in their understanding for sacred scripture and the Church’s teachings and begin to know what it means to be a part of a parish community. This program is held from 10:45 – 12:00 noon on Sunday mornings.

Sacramental Preparation (Reconciliation & Eucharist)
Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist is aimed at baptized children in 2nd grade (or older). Preparation for these sacraments is done at home as a family, with support from the parish. Preparation for First Reconciliation occurs during the fall and preparation for First Eucharist begins after Christmas. Children not attending a Catholic school also need to enroll in the Faith Formation classes on Sundays.
