Peace and Justice

Ministry Leader: TBA

Email: Peace & Justice

Holy Trinity had the honor of hosting the Interfaith Coalition’s “Peace Lamp” for one week this month including Saturday & Sunday, the 24th and 25th of November. The Peace Lamp represents the light of peace for people of all faiths. The Peace Lamp has journeyed from church to synagogue to mosque in the Portland metropolitan area and represents the efforts of people of different faith traditions to pray and work for peace. Holy Trinity’s parishioners prayers will be sent along with the "Peace Lamp" to its next host, St. Juan Diego.

Mission: To raise awareness and facilitate activities supporting social justice at the community, local and national levels, both inside and outside the parish.

The ministry’s goal is to work with the Beaverton Vicariate (St. Pius X, St. Cecilia, St. Juan Diego, St. John the Fisher, and Holy Trinity) to arrange for speakers and support other community efforts towards peace, justice, and reconciliation.

October 19, 2005.

It is with great sadness and respect that we note the death of Robert Freisem, former head of Holy Trinity's Peace and Justice Ministry. May the angels come to greet you and lead you to paradise.
