plans for your welfare and not for harm,
to give you a future with hope. When you search for me, you will find me.

I will let you find me . . .”

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY
What is High School Youth Ministry?
High School Youth Ministry here at Holy Trinity is an opportunity for teens to grow in their faith, experience life together and be involved with their Holy Trinity parish.
So, what does High School youth ministry offer?
LOTS!
- We offer a Sunday Night Youth Ministry Session, where you can meet new people or be with old friends.
- Ken Canedo presents Confirmation preparation for those ready for their final Sacrament of Initiation.
- There are chances to participate in the monthly Youth Mass by becoming a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Greeter, singing in the Youth Choir, or helping with Sunday Hospitality.
- We also experience retreats and youth rallies.
- We work together in service opportunities to help the needy.
We offer this and more all under the guidance of an Adult and Youth Core team.
What is Youth Ministry like Sunday Night?
A time to chill with all your buddies, get your energy out with an ice breaker or two, have serious discussions on faith, morality, social issues, and personal concerns-- all in light of what our church teaches. The Life Teen program, and our awesome snack bar support us. Gatherings are at 7-8:30 pm in the parish Fireside Room, on Sunday evenings.
What do you offer with the Youth Masses?
Imagine all the energy harnessed from a group of teenagers, and focused into Mass! That’s what our Youth Mass is. If you are confirmed, you can be a Lector or Eucharistic Minister. All teens can become Greeters and Altar Servers. There are still slots in the high-octane youth choir! If welcoming is your thing, you can help out with Sunday hospitality. If any of these peeked your interest and you want to get involved, contact Joe Mallari and he’ll hook you up with the right people to talk to. The Youth Choir sings every Sunday at the 11:l5 not to mention the monthly 11:l5 Youth Mass, watch the bulletin for the scheduled weekend for this.
What about Retreats?
The Youth Ministry Core Team is going to plan an overnight retreat. The teens will take this time to become closer to Christ and each other.
I can get community service hours here too?
Yes, you can! There are various ways we can help those who are in an unfortunate situation: Fridays at the Downtown chapel, Sundays at the Faith Café, and we have a Community Outreach ministry in the parish all year round. We hope to become more involved with our hurting brothers and sisters.
Anything big coming up with Youth Ministry?
Funny you asked! watch this space
But is High School Youth Ministry going to be fun?
Of course it will! For those who have a higher capacity for fun, we will go bowling, attend concerts, go to the Family Fun Center, or just sit back and watch a movie together.

What Programs do you offer for Middle School Youth Ministry?
Kristin Wells coordinates the Middle School Edge program at the same time as the High School Youth Ministry. There is more information in the EDGE brochure.
What if I, or someone I know, wants to be confirmed?
Ken Canedo directs an awesome Confirmation preparation for any high school youth interested in completing their Sacraments of Initiation in the church. Confirmation sessions are at the same time as the Youth Ministry, meeting several times until Confirmation in the spring. All those who wish to be confirmed are required to attend Youth Ministry Sundays from 7-8:30 pm
I like what I see! How can I help out?
If you are a PARENT, there are plenty of ways to help. We are continuing a parents group to help out with chaperoning during events and other logistics. For more information contact Dave Tarries. If you are a YOUNG ADULT, we need your help facilitating during the Sunday night sessions. With someone your age, the teens have someone to look up to, and they can relate with you. Remember, you’re never too cool to help Youth Ministry!
TEENS, Youth Ministry is for you. There are plenty of opportunities for you to be involved too in small or a huge ways even as part of the Youth Ministry Core Team. Just contact us!

YOUTH CHOIR

Rehearsals: Every Wednesday 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the church
Our dynamic Youth Choir sings every Sunday at the 11:15 Mass. We sing the latest contemporary Catholic music, some traditional hymns, and original songs composed by our composer-in-residence, Ken Canedo. Youth Choir welcomes all middle school and high school singers and instrumentalists. We’ve already made quite a name for ourselves in the archdiocese. Come join in the fun as we praise God with our cool music!
