Holy Trinity's mission statement is Know - Grow - Go: to come to know God personally, to grow in our relationship with Him, and to go forth as His instruments in the world. Grow Group is intended to help us with the second part. More than just adult faith education, Grow Group is a chance to come together with other parishioners, make new friendships, learn about our Catholic faith, pray together, and share faith together.
This year, we will once again be meeting on Wednesday evenings, starting on September 11th. Every second Wednesday of the month (including September 11th), we’ll meet in-person in the Fireside Room from 6:00–7:30pm. All other Wednesdays, we will meet via Zoom from 6:00–7:00pm. Hopefully, this will allow us to come together and get to know one another while still allowing those who can’t make the evening drive to participate.
Our focus for much of the year will be the Symbolon course from the Augustine Institute, which is a series of short videos looking at the major articles of the Creed. We’ll also spend some time around Advent looking at a fun little guide to praying with Scripture. Beyond that, we’ll see what the year, the Church, and the news raise up for us.
If you’d like to participate and you were part of Grow Group last year, you don’t need to do anything; I already have your contact information (unless your email has changed — if so, please let me know). If you didn’t participate last year but would like to, all you need to do is email me or, complete the form here on this page and I'll add you to my mailing list! I send a reminder email with the Zoom link for the meeting typically a few days before we meet. Looking forward to regathering with all of you!
In the spring of 2020, Deacon Brett and our then-Pastoral Apprentice Ally Z. had invited our then-Parochial Vicar Fr. Hans Mueller to talk about his time in Rome. . . right when COVID-19 struck and forced us to cancel everything here on campus. Thanks to Zoom, they were able to still make his presentation possible!
Due to some technical difficulties, a bit of the beginning portion was not recorded, but what was recorded is about two-thirds of his whole talk. Check it out and enjoy!
