By the grace of God, we at Holy Trinity Parish acknowledge and celebrate our uniqueness, diversity, and faith as one family through inspirational liturgy, international cuisine, and presentations of our cultural heritage to enrich ourselves and our children as we learn to be compassionate to all our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Holy Trinity's International Festival celebrates the cultural uniqueness and diversity of our parish as we come together to honor and praise God as one family. The celebration typically falls on either the second Saturday of May (Mother's Day weekend, to give tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to honor all mothers) or on the weekend of Pentecost (celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit to unite all peoples to the saving presence of Jesus). The evening begins with a multilingual recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:00pm by Holy Trinity School students, followed by the International Festival Mass at 5:30pm and Fiesta of Food at 6:30pm.
This annual* event (which began in 2003) is free of charge and attracts a huge crowd, so we encourage you to come early to get good seats! We would love to have you share in this event through attendance and participation. You may wish to work with others to represent your culture as a group at the food table, and we encourage you to wear your national garb.
*Excluding 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We're thrilled to once again celebrate our beloved International Festival! It will be held on Saturday, May 18th. Our parish family is made of numerous different nationalities and cultures, yet one faith unites us all. This is your chance to mingle with the faithful who share the Body of Christ with you, and give thanks to our Lord for our beautifully diverse parish family!
The variety of individually prepared dishes makes the food court intriguing, but you may consider working in groups to prepare popular dishes in a larger quantity that we can distribute equally in each of the food lines. For ease of serving, please avoid dishes that require two components, as we cannot guarantee that both items will end up on the same table.
Food and Volunteer sign-up sheets will be in the narthex on the weekends of April 13-14 and April 20-21. Aside from providing and serving food, you can assist with setup/cleanup and decorations, sing in the choir, or participate in the liturgy. Questions? Contact Monette through the form on this page!
