Due to the pandemic, these Small Faith Groups are either meeting online via Zoom or not at all as in-person meetings are limited at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience!
There are a wide variety of Small Faith Groups here at Holy Trinity! Learn more about several of them below, and use the contact form on the left to reach out to the coordinator(s) if you want to learn more.
Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer. It does not replace other types of prayer, but adds depth and meaning to all prayer. The group provides an opportunity to deepen your relationship with Jesus and connect with your fellow parishioners. HT's Centering Prayer group meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month, from 4:15-5:15pm. The group is part of Contemplative Outreach of Portland, which hosts workshops and retreats regularly in the area.
Panache is a women's bible and prayer support group that gathers every Thursday in Fireside from 9:30-11:30am, September–June. Each meeting begins with a bible study, followed by individual sharing, discussion, and prayer requests.
Senior Luncheon is a potluck-style gathering that allows folks to socialize and meet other members of the parish. Luncheons are held at 12:00pm on the third Wednesday of the month.
This support group is designed to facilitate connection, compassion, and commonality between members; offer education on how sexual trauma can interfere with one’s health and happiness; and provide tools for healthy coping. Prayer, scripture, and other inspirational spiritual materials are also incorporated. If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please give Anne Church a call at 503.320.3049
All men are welcome to gather for breakfast and companionship every Tuesday morning from 7:00-8:00am at the IHOP restuarant on SW Regatta Lane (just off of SW 158th and Walker Road). While we have no agenda, we traditionally have a member read the following Sunday Gospel, and participants may elect to comment, question, or discuss the reading as they wish. We also spontaneously discuss other subjects of interest of the group as well. Prior to breakfast, we say a prayer of thanks, with each participant adding a personal prayer as they wish. We have made occasional excursions and group activities as well.
